Girls Weekends ~ WHERE? with my Church Ladies

After "Getting Away" with my girlfriends for a few years, I thought I bet I can make this work with my church friends. I just wanted to share the AWESOME experience of being with other fabulous women in fabulous places doing fabulous things. Let's face it who doesn't deserve a break?

First year we went to the Dahlonega Spa Resort http://www.dahlonegasparesort.com/ - It was a group of about 30 or so women. We had such a blast! We did yoga, went for walks, had an incredible wine tasting luncheon at http://www.frogtownwine.com/. We left that first weekend with a special quiet little feeling inside that we all shared a special moment in life.

The second year we headed just south of the city of Atlanta but a WORLD AWAY to The Inn at Serenbe in Palmetto, Ga. http://www.serenbe.com/ We enjoyed the luxurious country life for the weekend. Hayrides, animal feedings, massages, hikes, great food, movie night, bonfires and lots of laughs! The trip was so good that for the first time in any of my groups we decided to return to Serenbe the following year for our next trip.
The next year (year 3) we got a little adventurous and went Zip lining http://www.historicbanningmills.com/ and Hot Air Ballooning! Enjoyed a full spa poolside http://www.spapartiesatlanta.com/ and finished off our second fabulous weekend at Serenbe with a beer and cheese tasting provided by http://www.5seasonsbrewing.com/!

Year four (& five) brought us to a Disney-esque hunting property in south Georgia. Flat Creek Lodge http://www.flatcreeklodge.com/ in Swainsboro, Ga was a perfect mix of relaxation, fun and adventure. While there we tooled around in golf carts, toured the dairy where they make their own Award Winning Cheese, went skeet shooting (I did this with number 4 wild child growing in my tummy), chilled on a perfect lake side beach, went fishing, had a casino night, spa-d it, Japanese bath housed it and some of us even bathed in milk from the cows right there in the property!

This year for our sixth trip, 35 of us we are going to Glen Ella Springs in Clarkesville, Ga. http://www.glenella.com/. I can't wait to come home and blog all about this trip. I swear I am dreaming about it already. Sometimes by the time I get to a weekend, I have put so much thought and time into it that I feel like I have been there already in my dreams. Although, the actual weekends are always better than even I can dream!
